I did lie to a teacher once.. It was a good lie cos I liked him!
 
I used to lie alot as a kid and I guess because I got caught so many times and got into even more trouble that now it is so harder for me to lie. Especially when it counts. If I even so much as try to lie to b/f he looks at me and calls me by my name and says now that's not true is it? he already knows!!! damnit!

I've caught out so many people who have lied... I always confront them about it... But if one does lie... At least remember the damn lie!
 
well, i don't have a boss, haven't had a teacher in... 20 years or something, and i don't remember the last time i lied to my parents.

I told my boss that I needed to take a longer lunch to tend to 'ahem' really personal yet important business, when really all I wanted to do was catch the sale at the mall.

I took a job once that required me to know how to use a PC and Windows 95 - I told them I did "no problem" when at the time my only computer experience had been on an Apple IIe, very little Win 3.1 and I could barely type. I bought a book on WIN95 (it had just come out) and read it the weekend before I started.

They never did figure it out and I learned pretty fast so I lucked out (or they were terribly polite).
 
I got busted doing something barely illegal as a kid... (you can take a guess)...

Adn when my dad asked me about why I had it... I told him...

"I needed to make some money, pop."

Which was a lie... I did it because I enjoyed it and so did some of my friends.
 
Lying is for liars. Liars suck I never lie! Thats a lie! I lied to my college counselor to try and get a class dropped after the drop date. It didnt work though! Other than that I really dont lie very much at all if I do it is to spare someones feelings from the truth.

I am leaving work early today and taking the day off tomorrow. I told my boss that I have no sitter for my sick son. Thats a lil white lie. Hes going to his grandparents house. I need the day off tomorrow to go and meet with ksharps boss about a business venture. Surely can't tell them the truth.

you lie to me all the time, when you tell me you will call.. and then you never do. wtf? I believe you have an lying issue or something. I thought it was just with me but now I see that you lie to others as well.

I'm distraught, hurt and crying....

I lied yesterday I told someoen something was ok when it basically wasn't. I did it to appear uneffected and not angry but I am both and now I am festering wishing I had told them off.
 
Mine's pretty much all work and golf related. I never lie about my score or anything, and don't lie at work about anything. I just lie to get out of work to golf. Completely warranted, IMO.

I could golf pretty much all day with my job... and get the company to foot the bill... but I hate golf. Oh cruel world.

As a kid I would lie about my parents possessions and I would also tell people that I had been around the world because I thought that would make me a more interesting person.
 
Gosh about the only reason why I ever lied to my mom was when I lied and said I was staying over a friends when really I was staying with a guy! Other than that, Never.My mom and I get along and I tell her everything.Are you kidding me I did as I pleased as a teen and never had to lie.
My dad is another story.

I have been around the world most of it prior to graduating college and I don't know if anyone thought that was of interest - wild what we think will make people like us more.

Not everyone responds well to honesty though either but when they do - it's golden.
