That may seem strange but it is perfectly normal to do that in many European countries.

true, when i was 17, my german teacher let me drink over her house. she was 60 something. my dad got me drunk on wine on my 8th birthday and i got :sick: :lmao: . drinking to me isn't a big deal. i'm only drink here and there.

Yeah.

18 is the legal age to buy. (not enforced like US) Also, you can drink at almost any age with a parent or guardian.

She probably broke the law by giving it to them. But, it would rarely be inforced because of the culture.


I few laws from the uk.

5 and over may consume alcohol, e.g. at home. It is only illegal for those aged 5-18 to drink alcohol on licensed premises (without meeting other licensing requirements)

under 14 may not be present in the bar of licensed premises unless accompanied by a person over 28, it is before 9pm and a children Licensing Act of 1964, Deregulation and Contracting Out Act of 1994

14 and over may be in the bar of licensed premises during permitted hours at licensee's discretion Licensing Act 1964

under 16 may be present in a restaraunt etc where alcohol is served with a meal and at the licensee's discretion may consume (but not purchase) alcohol bought by a parent or guardian

16 and over may purchase beer, porter, cider, or perry with a meal in an eating area on licensed premises (In Scotland wine also) Licensing Act of 1964

25 y/o mom with kids, drinking alcohol with 14-16 boys in the house.

And where's hubby? Probalby left the skank. Not to excuse the boys - probably runaway street trash - but let's face it, they'll probably get 1-2 years max with good behavior. The mom learned a hard lesson here.

What if it was a 25 y/o man drinking alcohol with 14-16 y/o girls? What would we say then?

could be a bunch of things. im curious how it was dosed to get her out for that long. ghb and its precursors dont knock you out like that, for that long. im thinking it was something prescription in combination with the alcohol.

It was in london. Where is perfectly normal for kids that age to drink.

also, some of the comments about a 25 year old offering champagne to teens to be social are making me mad - its england. its a drinking culture. its not like the US, where you ahve to be 21. people start drinking in childhood over there. its completely socially acceptable

fancy focussing on socially acceptable alcohol consumption when the issue is a premeditated drink spiking rape that was put on youtube. for all you know, it was just one bottle between 4 people - besides, teens that spike drinks and rape people are unlikely to be innocent to such things

GHB is very very easy to get and also dirt cheap (at least in Canada). It's also not very hard to produce ghb using Drano and other goodies and kids can get the recipe on Google.

its extremely hard to make ghb now. the raw materials are all illegal to purchase and all sales are heavily monitored. very, very risky. schedule 1 drug too. get caught with that and your f'ed

nah man, it's easy as hell to get supply's you need for GHB off chem lab sites... all it takes is potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxid and GBL.. All of them are legal for purchase, they sell GBL as paint stripper for antique wood furniture for no more than $50, potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide you can get bulk load cheap as hell of chem sites

They're all legal to buy here in Canada (and in most countries) since they all have a "legitimate" use. It's just like making explosives.

But hey, let's focus on the original topic.
