Technical BS

I was wondering if any of you could help me, or direct to someone, who could fix this computer problem I have with this website.

I have windows XP and I use AOL.
Just now on AOL I tried to sign onto the board here, and then open my profile and post here.

So I typed in my username and password, and it was accepted.
However, when I clicked to open my profile I ran into a problem.
The profile page opened up with a message saying this section is for plantimum members only.
I tried to sign in again at the bottom, when I did the page reopened with the same message.
For some reason on AOL I cannot have access to anything, not my profile, pms, or even any of the disscussin sections as well.

However, I then opened up elitefitness through internet explorer instead. I signed on and clicked on profile, which opened fine.

This problem also occured with bodybuilding.com, where AOL won't give me access to various sections of the website, but internet explorer will.

This is very frustrating, I'm just cooling down right now.
Does anybody know why AOL and windows XP are doing this, and more importantly, what I can do to fix the problem now?

Thanks.

i have to agree with the masturbator on this one. ditch AOL. and once you do, format out your hard drive to get rid of that evil piece of garbage. AIM is good though.

if you have to stay on AOL, then use IE for browsing. you'll experience less lockups and get booted less if you are on dial up.

I'd ditch the AOL in a second if it was my choice, but it ain't.
I hate using the internet explorer, especially when there is no logical reason as to why this BS happens on AOL.

AOL is full of illogical BS. if you're stuck with it, you have my sympathy.

IE is better though. and think about this...if you're using IE to browse and you get booted, you do'nt lose your page. you can sign on again and keep going. if that happens while using aol's browser, you lose every page that you had open.

Really, so all this goofy/insane BS with AOL isn't just a problem for me?

The one drawback I have to using internet explorer is I don't know how to clear the history trail.
Other people use the computer and I don't want them pulling up my posts lol

log off of EF and that should keep them from getting into your profile.

and no, yo'ure not the only person to have AOL problems. aol sucks. big time.

The AOL Browser sucks. Did this just start happening? Did you recently upgrade to 9.0? Anyhoo, I don't have AOL but I know there's a cookies setting somewhere in that thing. It sounds like you have it set to not receive cookies. Turn cookies on. This might tell you how better than I can since I'm not looking that the damn thing.
