oh yeah, my bare ass is in that pic too. don't say i didn't warn ya.

In my opinion, a tattoo should be an indivual's design/idea. It should be something that for you resembles something special, unique, etc. Not something you see on every other person's body. Sort of like girls who get lower back tattoos of butterflies and other nonsense that you see on every other girl walking around on a beach. Nowadays it seems everyone gets tattoos because everyone else has one. It's almost as the newest thing to have in order to fit in.

Think of things that you'd like to have on your body. Something that reminds you of something or somehow says something about you or a hobby you have. Maybe something that can be associated with a nickname you have. Something special or unique about you that can be represented as art on your wrist. Or if you have an idea go into a tattoo shop and have an artist draw something for you. You can have them alter the drawing until you are satisfied with what they draw.

what nvr said.

almost all my artwork came out of me just throwing around designs with a tattoo artist, and them coming up with the final product. most of my ink work is considered freehand. there were only a few times that a transfer was used. a piece on my calf was from a transfer (that came from a drawing, not flash on the wall), the 3/4 arm band i have we modified off of another one and used a transfer, and my back piece was half drawn onto me, copied, and then transferred over in order to have symmetry.

the rest of my work was drawn directly on me with a felt marker and some detail drawn in with a ballpoint pen, then tattooed directly over top of. all of my tattoos done like this were ideas i tossed around with the tattooist before hand and just left it up to them to see how creative they could get. i think some of the best tattoo work happens when you go this route, as the tattooist gets into the design more when it's their own.
