t3 questions

hi
while on t3 you supress you own t3 production right?

how much does a normal adult produce per day of this?
what dose would "compensate" for normal production?

thanks

need to get a couple of thyroid tests to see what your current levels. I believe all 3 tests will run you about $200.00.

dont Quot me but i think its 25mcgs o day, like i said not sure but i was looking it up a while back cues i had a friend startting it and found a lot of info on it on steriod.com.

I've been hearing the same (25mcgs ed).

So.. if a guy takes, say, 12,5mcg ed. Does that dose shut down his own thyroid production, and then making him burn less calories etc?

or answer me this;
Does ingesting t3 (cytomel) supress my own t3 production, or does it "add" more into my system? Anyone know for sure?

thanks

I had a lengthy chat with my doctor about T3 and normal human production for a healthy male is usually between 12.5 - 25mcg (25mcg being very healthy) I dont believe personally from experience that T3 will shut down your thyroid perm after use. Of course yiou will experience a post cycle crash but 9 times out of ten thyroid output is back to normal within 4-6weeks due to the major connection with the brain.

I also believe T3 IS ok to run for slightly longer than 6 week if need be BUT NOT AT HIGH DOSES....i.e. for a period of 12 weeks which i feel should be the MAX anyone run T3 at a time but extending the taper down for several weeks and that never being to go in an up, down, up, down fashion.

Overall I feel that sides and effects T3 can cause on ones body are extremely exagerated

but will it shut down my own production while I'm on t3?
or will it, as I said, "add" more?

It will 'add more' so to speak yes.....I have a great post on thyroid recovery and precise output whilst on and off T3 which is a really good read - will try and post as soon as i can bud

tell me this.
you said using synthetic thyroid hormones (t3) just "add" more to my system... this means that it doesn't shut down my own natural production right?

it just doesn't make sense to me, cause I've always been told that the thyroid production takes time to recover after a t3 cycle. people are also often using stuff to "bounce" the production back up to normal after cycles.

can anyone explain?

thanks

It does add more to your system, because like stated, normal T3 production in the body is between 12.5 and 25 mcg per day. From what I've seen, most people start out with at least 25 mcg ED T3 when doing a cycle with it. It does decrease your natural production, as your body sees too much and thinks it is over producing the hormone. It will attempt to get your T3 levels back to normal by lowering production of T3. However, since you are still supplementing your T3 production, you will have higher than normal levels (obviously).

So in short, yes, it will shut you down.
