if you took a pretty high dose of var would it stop the catabolic properties of t3?
or would a stonger drug have to be used?

That depends bro, Cytomel will effect people in diffrent ways. I personally do not like it and find it has no place in bodybuilding. I have used it, became catabolic even on 500mg/week of Test and the fat loss was nothing special. The same results could be achived just as fast with a proper diet and a thermo.
