Is it really better to take t-3 before meals (empty stomach), if so how much time 1/2 hour okay?

Hey bro just check any physician's desk reference or pill reference book. T3 or T4 sshould be taken ONCE/day all at once. T3 builds up in your system as it's half life can be up to a day and a half. You can take it anyway you want to though.

Once a day empty stomach. T3 has a half-life of approx. 36 hours, so a divided dose is not only unecessary, but also unadvisable.

Why is a divided dose unadvisable? I would think taking a huge dose such as 4 pills, 100mcg, at once would be unadvidsable as that is a lot of thyoid medication all at once. I think I will stay with 3 times a day 8am 1 pm 6 pm

Pharmecutical companies that produce drugs spend millions on research and development and years of testing before they can even bring their product to the market. So, in essence, they usually know the best dosing schedule...if you read any PDR or the insert it will tell you to use it all at once in the morning, on an empty stomach!

Thanks Phreaky that is good to know. I will start with twice a day, from 3 times, and work it down to once in morning.

I'm holding the inlay of Trijodtironine (T3) by BERLIN-CHEMIE AG, Glienicker Weg 125, 12489 Berlin, Germany... now I'm reading it: "Daily dose divided into 3 portions must be taken during the day. In case of sleep disturbance the last dose must be taken not later than 16:00 (4pm)"

PS But may be american drugs are waaay to different in comparison to german ones

Well there you go, thanks Vovan. Taking all that medication, no matter what it is, can't be that good for your system, and may be dangerous. I thought the whole idea was to have it steady in your bloodstream throughout the day.

jarabbit, I used T3 many times. And from my personal experience I can say that: it starts to work very fast - within a minutes. You can feel it by throat tightness. So I think that daily schedule because of it - to avoid hormone spikes....
