I'm sure it's OK. I would not preload them for too long. I never seen the reason to preload for weeks at a time. I can understand for the day or two but weeks may be too much.

If there is and Ethyl Oleate in your gear it wouldn't be wise. I personally wouldn't do it even with regular gear due to the BA in it. Personal preference I guess. Are you traveling? Only possible reason I could see for needing to do this.
