Syringes and the Border

Is it illegal to bring syringes with out a perscription into the state of california from mexico? I might just go down to TJ and buy a box of syringes and needles. I figure I'll probably be hassled but I won't have any gear on me. Any thoughts or knowledge of laws regarding this subject?? Thanks

Depending if you are familiar with the pharmicist they can ship it for you for a few extra bucks. Thats what i do, I get it in 2 days. Thats just my expierience. Good luck bro.

I did it in Nogales once, and even showed the customs guy. He didn't say anything about it, just asked if I had bought anything else.

I disagree. Sheesh you kind by needles at any pharmacy in the US so why would it be illegal to carry across from the border?

Anyone know for a fact if I can get into any legal trouble regarding this?? Or is it just at the whim of the customs agent. Basically if I declare the needles/syringes are they going to confiscate them and/or possibly fine me. Anyone have any experience with this? Thx
