Why mess around with tiny gauge pins. Use 18 gauge witha 1.5" needle. Feels great. Bodybuilders are hardcore. LOL. I use anywhere from a 21 gauge to a 23 gauge. 1"-1.5".. never use a 1.5 for delt shots. Damn I sprung a leak with that one.

Have fun sticking urself. It feels so good.

Everyone asks what size needle should I use, and simply assumes, that the only difference in needles is length and gauge.


Actually intra-muscular needles come with 3 types of bevels and (the tip that is injected) the type of bevel used makes a difference in the ease (pain) of the injection.

If possible the best over all needle to use for gear, is a Monoject cutting bevel 21 or 22 gauge 1 ½ inch.

Monoject is hard to find even in hospitals and clinics, because they cost more than BD.

BD is of course a good second choice, but if you actually use a monoject, you will feel a difference. Because of it’s cutting bevel it simply is a much smoother injection and noticeably less pain.


After this post do you maybe get the idea THAT I like needles? LOL

Monoject are hard to find because they are of low quality. They are not used by hospitals and physicians because they fall apart and leak.

BD and Terumo are the best brands in the world and that is why are used by hospitals and physicians around the world.

You must be a rep for monoject because I have not heard anyone else say that monoject is anything more than mediocre.
