I just started injecting synthol into my calves (actually something called EsikClean from pump n pose. com). I have injected 1 ml per day into the left for 7 days now, and have just started 1 ml/day on the right.
So far the difference is minimal, but it has definately boosted my confidence in that area. I am one of those with terribly thin legs, compounded by my hiv + status, who is very well developed everywhere else,,,,so to me, I look ridiculous. Ive been hideously self-conscious wearing shorts for almost all of my 38 years.
Does anyone have experience with this? am I using the right brand?? are there any long-term side effects?
My doctor knows I am doing this, but says that while he can't endorse or administer it, he does see why I (mentally) need to do this. He has schooled me in the proper injection technique.
So far, all I have experienced is muscle pain in the calves...worst on the 1st day, but gradually subsiding after that, (because the muscle expands I suppose, it becomes not as tight). The actual injection itself is NOT painful and all seems to be going "so far, so good"
however I would like to hear any stories or experiences that you might have on the subject. I prefer positive information, but I will take anything I can get. Thank you jc
