Swollen Glute/Antibiotics

OK guys, I have done some searching in past threads, but would like some more input. I am partial to glute shots, and am currently running 250mg test e (british dragon) twice a week (mon and thurs). My first inject into the right glute went well. Second in the left glute the same. But mon. morning i injected into the right glute, and about four hours later felt a knot about the size of a quarter where i injected. Today, two days after injection, the knot is twice the size. Yesterday I had some bruising on the knot, but it is now gone. Injection was done by my gf who is a nurse, and she was very careful. I am using 23g 1" pins. The skin over the knot is red but is not hot to the touch. My gf is freaking out and is demanding that I take some antibiotics. Will the antibiotics have any effect on the results of the test? I am also still running 25mg dbol ed. I do not think I have an infection, but would rather be safe than sorry.
By the way,this is my 2nd cycle, the first being 200mg deca a week for 8 weeks, and i had no problems with it.

The swelling could be just that… Thus nothing to worry about..

However… It could also indicate infection. Hitting the Antibiotics will not hurt your results so I would error on the side of caution!

I would keep a close eye on it for another day or two, if it gets bigger, red, or becomes painful get some meds!

Also if your butt hurts when you sit down, those cushy donuts things are great, takes all the pressure off.

it doesnt really hurt all that much. no pain when i walk, or sit. i have tried the heat pad and massaging and the swelling has gone down some. i will keep an eye on it and if there is no change for the good in the next couple of days, i will start takng the antibiotics. would an infection set in this quick though? like i said, it has only been a couple of days.

thanks for the help. i just got home from work, and the swelling has gone down considerably. the knot is still there, but back to about the size of a quarter. think i will wait a few more days to see progress before i do any antibiotics.

Have nurse aspirate the site. Look at the fluid.
Infection will be yellow to green.

my gf has mentioned this to me, but i am gonna wait on that shit. sounds like an extreme pain in the ass, no pun intended.

just an update. after extreme urging from my gf, i started taking the antibiotics last nite. throughout today the swelling is almost gone, as well as the redness. there is still a knot but the size has decreased by half. i wanted to wait before starting the antibiotics, to see if it would go down on its own, but it is getting better now so to hell with it. i took my first delt shot today and it was like butta. i may just stick with the delts for awhile. thanks for the replies bros.

I've had the same thimg a few times in different spots. I thimk that you might hit a nerve or been close to one. Some gear also hurts more than others too. I always hurt from prop badly 2 out of three shots.

Knots, swelling, redness, pain are all results from doing Intramuscular shots..... No matter what type of gear youre using.... Youre gonna get these symptoms MANY times after shooting..... You can't get worried everytime you feel one of them, it's normal.....

i agree. my gf was more worried than i was, but i did have some concern. this is only my second cycle, and am still trying to become accustomed to the needle. but im good to go now. swelling gone, redness gone, bruise gone, and am barely able to feel the knot. i gonna chalk this up as a learning experience.

Yea bro I think you was ok and it was just the regular soreness and knot! Shit my glutes have so many knots in it right now from all the shots I've been taking that when I'm banging a girl she can hold on to them like handles!!

yes i am very prone to this. it never gets red or hot so its not an infection but the knots have lasted 2 weeks before. i used to freak out and the first time i got antibiotics from the sports doc at the U i was going to. it killed it in like a day. now i just tough it out and massage with a hot compress. no redness or hot surface means no infection its that simple. bad shots happen and can leave a good knot or bruise for some time. its all part of the game
