The HipTop or SideKick, depending on how you look at it.
I already use VoiceStream/T-Mobile, so I could easily switch to that thing, and I really really really want to.

Hell, the website has fucking cool music and a fucking GORILLA in the intro. Well, a dude in a gorilla suit, which is even better.

The phone/pda combo is awesome looking, has good battery life, and is only $200.

The only reason I'm not going out tomorrow to switch is that I will likely be moving out of the country this summer and I don't think that phone will work there (it is GSM, so it works in other countries, but I don't think in this one).

Oh well, I guess that will force me to wait until a color one comes out later and hopefully by then it will be available to me.

I'm curious as to how easy it is to program for it - I think it is a Java based system.

So you are moving out of the country? How did you swing that? Spur of the moment decision or an opportunity presented?

I think the largest hurdle for programming for it is that I have no clue how to upload the games onto it. I'm sure they have it documented somewhere, but that would probably involve reading, and I don't know how.

As for leaving the country, yeah, looks like I will sometime around this summer. Which is a shame since I really like my job here, but yeah, in the end it is a lot of better opportunities and ideally tax breaks.

oh, it will definitely still have net access, and I'd still likely be at a computer most of the day. so the only real difference in my posting would be that my time zone would be different.


and ssme - I want to program the phone because it has some sweet games on it - and I could program more. like "mate the donkeys" and stuff like that.

I hand my car over in Feb and I take the bus to work and the gym.
that will save me a lot of money.

I will have to see how it plays out, but hopefully I can swing it so that I have a place in the states and a place there.
that way I can still have an American life - but the taxes on that might be a bitch, so we shall see.
