How much $$$/month?
They got PCMCIA/PCCARD cards for laptops for that service?
Its 79$ for unlimited data and use, unlimited emails, text messaging, voice chatting etc... You can get cheaper packages based on usage just like any cellular rate packages.
I bought the sony ericson pc card. Its like my old wifi card that plugged into the side of my old laptop a few years ago but its got a small antenna on it. Just plugs into the side. I just bought a new pocket pc/cell phone which has the gprs/gsm modem installed in it just like the wifi is and bluetooth, plus infrared syncing etc... so Im sure like wifi was a pc card theyll put this technology into the new laptops.
Card cost me 150$ with a full mailin rebate on that so basically free, then signing up for the gprs/gsm data package. I pay 40$ on top of that for my pocket pc to do the same thing as this, plus its a camcorder which makes mpeg movies for instant emails or posting on the net and well with the bluetooth I can turn on my lights, turn on the computer, hands free cellphone talking, etc.. with this bluetooth just by walking in the door. I can even setup the bluetooth turn on my coffeepot when I get home.
It has an s video out for powerpoints and video out so my pocket pc can make any television a computer monitor, plus fold out regular size wireless keyboard for it.
So much more I can do now, Im thinking of getting an hdtv projector for it, 1800$ and I can plug in the svideo and tiny bose sound system and have a 23foot screen for a theatre.
Got to get that by the time when football is going into the playoffs. Just show up with my duffle bag and whip out a 23 foot hdtv for the backyard football party, or just throw my own party
Anyhow, yeah eighty bucks for unlimited but remember that you could cancel your home broadband service and use gprs as the primary internet connection. This is faster than my wifi experience so far
