Anyone who saw the documentary on Ben Johnsson and Winstrol on monday evening?

Comments?

The good part with the documentary (and they pointed it out clearly) was that everybody was juicing but he was the one with bad luck to get caught and became a scapegoat.

There was no talk about sides or "roidrage" or anything like that, just the way it was in the 80´s among sprinters. Juice or get out.

It is a pity he had been caught

He was a real champion

BTW, what did he take apart from stanozolol ?

They did not mention any names other than some pills in the begining and he didn´t know what it was and some "veterinary steroid".

He was taking a half cc of winstrol 3times a week for 6weeks before his 9.79 run.

Bullshit? Sounds like too small amounts.

he was too big !

he must have taken some other AAS

In what ways was he a champion? Stick a needle in my ass and i'll get into the 9's as well.

I am not sure everybody (even with AAS) can get into the 9s
and all the others sprinters were certainly also juicing

Oh my. You're kidding, right? If you're NOT kidding, you have major issues.

I was being sarcastic, but let's not tarr everyone with the same brush. There were guys that were consistantly running fast times throughout their careers and then there were the Ben Johnsons, Neville Nobody one day who couldn't break 10.00 for so many years, then bang, he makes a 20 metre turn around on the guys who were consistantly beating him.

Innocent until proven guilty.

Yes, we saw the same program here in Norway - quite good. There is also an interview with Charlie Francis on the t-mag website (dunno the link right now).

Oh, and Vinyl, Ben Johnson was hardly a "Neville Nobody", the guy was placing high for years before Seoul.
