Surgery Scheduled...finally

For anyone that gives a shit or doesn't, I still felt like posting it.

Cortisone shot didn't do shit for my shoulder so Doc is going to the next step. Surgery is scheduled for Feb 11th, that's as soon as I could get in. 6- 8 weeks later I will be good as new.......well maybe better....no matter anything is an improvement from where I am at now.

Good luck to you rudedawg. I've never had shoulder probs. but being a girl, I don't do a lot to strain them I guess. I like to train them good but luckily, I've not had probs.
How did you injure your shoulder?

I had arthroscopic surgery in August 2001 and my shoulder has not returned to normal yet. Dips and incline bench I can't handle. It just gives out on me. They took out a shit load of scar tissue and shave the bone but I'm still were I was before the surgery. Fucking frustrating as hell. BTW this is after 2 year of therapy and cort shot(4). By the way cortisone weakens the tendon.

How did you injure your shoulder?

Did a very intense upper body workout then decided (like a dumbass) to go hit some softballs off the tee at full speed to get ready for a tourney the following day. That was almost 7 months ago. Wasn't smart enough to take it easy for a feww weeks and just kept going until I couldn't lift or anything.

what exactly is wrong bro?? i have to have my done due to recuring dislocation, fuckn painful.

My collar bone is pressing on the bursa sacs in the joint.......aka: shoulder impingement. So they shave the bone on the underside to give it some more room.

Dude that is NOT what I want to hear I am looking at it in a positive way and saying this thing can't hurt any worse than it already does (not all the time) but some movements feel like Goatslayer is shoving a red hot poker into my shoulder.

The cortisone shot has done wonders for my shoulder dawg. I know I told you I didn't want to get it, but i'm glad I did. Lifting with no problem. I'll start throwing in a few weeks.

I'm not kidding myself, though. I know i'll need the surgery after baseball season.

I did everything by the book when I got my shot too. I did the Jobe's religiously.......didn't do anything to irritate it and still nada.

I had some soreness around the injection site for about a week, but I seem to have full range of motion back. No pain either. I'm being careful though.

It is your left shoulder right?

Who's your doc in NYC? That's where I am. I'm thinking something is wrong for my shoulder to still be the same. And watch out when it rain or it really cold, holyshit does that fucker act up. Its my left shoulder.
