anyone know of any surf report sites that give pretty reports on conditions for the ocean that are free?

And just so you know, some serious swells coming out of the southwest for the next week or so.. so there should be some nice sets in North SD (Oside, Carlsbad, etc).

if they don't report it, they will have a link to any live surf report in the world.

They even have a live feed of pipeline.
it really depends on what you are looking for, if you know how to read swell heights then you should be able to go to the whether report and kinda figure out what the ocean will look like through the wind report.
Other than that, I would have to say that Swell.com is the best for overall surf report.

i would have to agree with pk. swell.com is the best overall surf report around the world. if you are looking for a particular break that is not on swell then just search for "yourbreak"surfcam.com. know what i mean???? just replace "yourbreak" with the actuall name of the beact or island.

FYI swell heights don't mean shit.. wave heights depend primarily on the wave period.
