I've never really used anything other than whey and the more I get into this crap, the more I spend. Anyways, I just picked up some creatine, glutamine and flax and was wondering how I can incorporate these into my diet - I believe most people take the flax in the morning w/ a shake or whatever. My main area of confusion is after workout. I heard you take creatine immediately after your workout with a sugary drink. I have been taking whey immediately afterwards - what do i do? and how do i fit the glutamine in? Thanks in advance

Sip your creatine/carb combo in between sets of your workout.Take your glutamine immediately following your last set.20 minutes later, chug down your protein.

Unless you eat a lot of fatty fish you'll probably want to get about 10% of total calories from flax seed oil which works out to be about 2 tbsp/day.

Preworkout (1hr prior)
25g of Protein - shake w/2 g of glutamine
make this almost no carbs or fat

Postworkout (within 1hr post)
50g of Protein - shake w/4g of glutamine and 5g of creatine
make this have about 25-40g of simple carbs, moderate fat

Glutamine ranges from 12-20g/day. Take at least 6 like above and spread the rest out in your meals or shakes. Creatine ranges from 5-10g/day. Take at least 5g like above, consume a few grams in the morning upon rising - body will be hurting for nutrients. Flaxseed oil, take that with a low carb shake or meal in the morning and maybe again postworkout if it's not too late.

Just thought I would let you all know that flax oil is nasty straight.. this water isnt getting rid of the taste either.. :D Thanks for the replies.

I usually only drink one shake a day, Huck's advice is defenitely key, I dunno about shakes before and after your workout like Razarsharp said...
