Supplement question....

Am I a wuss for not wanting to try supplements? I see many women (and men) take supplements to help their physique. I am hypersensitive to medications of all sorts. I do supplement protein shakes in my diet after a workout, but that is all.

I was thinking about trying a little creatine just to help with strenghth. I have never taken it before. I wanted a little feedback from women and if they have gotten anything out of it. I know that I will gain up to if not more than 10 lbs of water weight but I am okay with that since it goes away after you stop.

By nature I am very muscular, but I am not strong. I want to strenthen my back mostly because of muscle imbalances from scoliosis. It is difficult for me to arch my back in the correct position for back exercises because my upper back is weak and my shoulders roll forward. A doctor friend of mine unoffically suggested to me to take a little creatine. However, he would not suggest what kind of creatine or how much, because it is a no no in his profession.

I hope I can trust the ladies (and gents) here to stear me in the right direction. Please be truthful with me and tell me side effects.

I really like creatine and I use the bog standard creatine mono hydrate.

I haven't had any bad sides at all, I do think it helped with increasing muscle mass and being able to lift longer.

Some people do not respond to creatine at all. The only sides that I have heard of is that some people get upset stomachs, a little bit bloated.

Creatine is a naturally occurring substance in your body.

^^ pretty much what happened to me back in the day. I have been told that nowadays the supps are better so I am thinking that perhaps I may give it a whirl after I get my GI tract back in order.

I found Cell mass had no bloat or anything- it gave me good pumps & tasted great. :)

Supp's can be a WONDERFUL thing if you do your research & take them accordingly!
