Well actually multi-vitamins are kind of a paradox because they have both pro-oxidants (iron) and antioxidants in them. The iron in multivitamins actually "rusts" the pills while there in the bottle. That's a big hurdle for most vitamin manufacturers when there formulating. Iron oxidizes vitamins A,C,E, folic acid and interfers with absorptions of most minerals like calcium, magnesium, and copper. Copper is sometimes a culprit in vitamin oxidation also. So always try to use an iron free multi and take iron seperately (try to use iron ferrochel).
Try to take most of your supplements on an empty stomach as they compete for absorption with food otherwise.
