Supersets for trap growth?

Do you guys think using supersets for traps, like shrugs followed by upright rows used for like 4 - 6 weeks is overtraining?
 
well over training depends on how many sets u do and also if you are not allowing sufficient recovery days. not so much on the exercise chosen or doing supersets
 
It is all about intensity and plenty of rest. how you want to do you exercise does not really matter. Just switch them up every once in a while

dumbell laterals followed by dumbell shrugs.

take a break, and repeat again.

simple and effective.

TRAPS

Traps and shoulders are my strong musclle groups i do heavy dumbell shrugs 3 sets to 6-8 and seated alternated dumbell shrugs and a couple sets of barbell shrugs heavy my traps are very well developed for the amount of time training hit those weights hard bro!!!:mad:
 
best trap exercise

Skip shrugs. Use exercises that use your traps when working other muscles. Hard to avoid on shoulder day, but some are better than others. The big trap day is leg day. Do heavy deadlifts, heavy dumbell lunges, and straight leg deadlifts, and squats. I guarantee your legs won't shrink on this workout, and your traps will grow bigtime.
 
skip traps??

LLoyd your advice is how you train. The best way to add mass to a muscle is to target it. The only he's gonna get meaty traps is with heavy shrugs!!!!imo:D
