Summer Weight Gain

Hi my name is John I have made several threads on this forum about how i can lose the fat around my stomach to have a six pack, and also to gain about 25lbs of the summer for football.
What i am wondering is that i will be doing Passing league this summer for football and this consists of several sprints and ever is saying that i need to cut out all cardio but i cant cuz i need to keep up my speed to be my varsity widereciver i cant go from being the starting WR and runnin a 4.5 - 4.6 40 and slow down i will lose my spot. so what i need is to know if i wieght about 160 - 165 depending on what day it is. what should be a good goal for me to reach in wieght. i am 5' 11''.

The best thing you can do is to make yourself a diet. Keep doing cardio and create a strict diet and stick to it and you will lose fat. And start doing ab workouts, situps etc. Diet is the most important, if you want to lose or gain weight, diet is where you need to start. You should do some research for what might be good for you but you should do like 5000 calories a day and get lots of protein, like 300 grams a day. Take Whey protein in between meals and eat like 6 meals a day. Every two hours try to get like 50 grams of protein. I don't know what you do for training and stuff so I really can't judge but DIET is numero uno.

Trying to lose fat will adding mass is a tall order. I don't want to sound like I'm pushing a product, but I think this stuff will help:

IMO, you can get around doing lots of cardio if you keep intensity up in the gym. Ultimately, it depends on the individual's genetics, but working that ass with heavy weights can be productive.

sprints are actually a better way to lose fat than long slow cardio. also, to enhance speed, there are some things i'd advise doing: jump shrugs, olympic cleans, front squats (optional), SLDLs and GMs. also, some push presses. if your not sure how to do these just google for vids, and also look here: exrx.net
there is also a good training journal thread: something like "creation of an explosive mofo"... that's coolcolj's journal, it might be insightful. hope that helps.

You're trying to accomplish something that needs precise dedication. Research nutrition. Research the fatburners. Research the gear.

Only way you're going to achieve the fast results you're expecting i'm afraid
