suggested workout?

can someone suggest me a workout....im 5'10, 175 average build.......i want to stay in good aerobic shape (hockey goalie, but hockey doest that for me) and gain a good amount of muscle....what would eb a good plan on attack?

For putting on mass, eating alot and taking supplements is 80 % of the battle. The training is important, but only 20 % of the battle. Did I mention you have to eat alot ? Chicken, fish, tuna, steaks, good carbs, good fats like natural peanut butter . Eat 4-5 good meals, 2-3 protein shakes with additional weight gainer added to it.
Now for the training. Here is what I do. ( I have a bad lower back, so I cant do squats , dead lifts or bent over rows which are major building blocks )

day 1 Chest
Incline press 5 sets ( keep increasing the weight, 8-10 reps on sets 1-3, 5 reps on sets 4 and 5 and only go to failure on the last 2 sets ) This is how I do all my sets
bench press -5 sets .
flat flyes / incline flyes alternate each workout - 5 sets

day 2 Back
lat pulldown - 5-7 sets
seated row- 5-7 sets
pullovers

day 3 off

day 4 shoulders
heavy military press- 5 sets
side laterals- 5 sets
bent over laterals- 5 sets
upright rows- 5 sets
shrugs- 5 sets

day 5 arms
standing barbell curl- 5 sets
preacher curl- 5 sets
seated one arm alt arm curl - 5 sets
standing or seated french curl- 5 sets
tri push down- 5 sets
dips- 3-5 sets

day 6 legs
leg press- 5 sets
leg ext- 5 sets
standing calf - 5 sets
seated calf- 5 sets

( add in squats and dead lifts )

day 7 rest
 
I have to disagree with a few things here... for putting on mass, eating is all the battle. For putting on muscle, it's a combination of eating and properly training. But you don't really need to worry about any supplements at this point besides maybe a multivitamin, but you should be getting everything you need to grow at this point from real foods. Also, weight gainers are mostly all crap... you don't need them. Eat well, eat often, and get most of your protein intake from whole foods, a protein shake post-workout is a good time though. Other than that, if you can get it from real foods, youre best off. Look into the 5x5 that was mentioned earlier in the thread, it's a great program for size/strength...and you'll see good gains if you eat right and stick to those big compound lifts and consistently add weight to the bar like it recommends. With regard to your question. With piling on muscle, training is 90% of the battle, and you just need to eat enough protein and total calories despite what the bodybuilding world says. Well.....when a guy is running around with the testosterone levels of 5 dozen men, then anything will provide great stimulus for growth and what you eat will alter your appearance accordingly, so yeah, in that case diet is 99% of it.

As for the '5x5'.....did you decide it is something you're interested in?? If it is there is a sticky on the top of the training board and if you have the time, it'll serve you well to pour through it. It'll answer all your questions, and on the madcow2 website, which is linked, it does spell out a sample 'routine' for you. Feel free to post any additional questions.
