is sugar an electrolyte?

i wondering cuase i wondered that since we sweat and release electrolytes...maybe sugar is an electroyte? ive read tthat magnesium and sodium are ... but i read nuttin on sugar

so if u need quick amount of electroytes ... would u drink something that contains a large amount of sodium (salt)?
im sort of lost with wat to drink for electrolytes

does water contain any electroyltes (faucet water or filtered water in a cup ... before in your body)

thanks!

No.

sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate, phosphate, and sulfate are electrolytes.

The sugar is added as a quick way to get energy, and also because the water is absorbed faster by the body with about 7% sugar dissolved in it. (The whole idea behind sports drinks).
