So does this not effect insulin the way normal sugar does? On the label it reads 11g carbohydrates, then under that 11g sugar alcohol. Should I consider these carbs to be low or high GI?
sugar alcohols are usually subtracted from the total carb count on keto diets and such because they dont tend to raise insulin levels, however it depends on the individual.. personally they kick me out of keto .. you gotta find your tolerance. but i would treat them as low gi carbs...
