Stupid Sugar Free Jello!!!

Specialbearkg

New member
The damn thing is my new addiction. I mix it with a little bit less than reccomended skim milk to minimize the cals.

How much is 'ok' to eat, say per day? Or should it be a weekly cheat thing?

Sugar free chocolate Jello + protein powder = :p

You're talking pudding right? I love the damn stuff...use skim Carb Countdown milk to reduce carbs and bump the prot. It's a great after dinner snack if you don't want to down a shake that late.

Yay it's pudding not fluorescent jello

BTW Jello don't work with milk

I eat both as a "dessert" when I crave sweets...... But yes, the Carb Countdown milk with the pudding mix + protein powder, makes it more of a healthy snack.....

SF Jello (not the pudding) + SF whipped cream = YUM!!

I think Jello is good for your joints - something about is being made out of cows ears, eyeballs and assholes that is good for your bones and tendons. (Jello is made of really nasty stuff.)

Pudding on the other hand, I always throw in three or four scoops of whey in the bowl when I am mixing it up. It isn't really that good for you, but there are plenty of other sweet things that are a whole lot worse.

Uhhhhhhhhhhh............ :worried:

Actually the gelatin is just made from the bones I think.....

I was being facitious, but it is made from the bones and skins of cows...So I guess that would include noses and asses.

This is from a "fact sheet" from Kraft re: jello - It doesn't sound appetizing...

1. How is gelatin made?
"The production of the gelatin starts w/refinement of collagen-bearing
tissues of ANY ANIMAL that has raised and slaughtered for food purposes.
...These materials are carefully soaked in alkalies and/or acids and
washed in clean water to remove almost all non-collagen constituents,
including meat. During this soaking period the collagen is converted to
gelatin. The treated materials are then cooked gently in pure water to
extract the gelatin, which is further refined by filtration....(Contrary to
common belief, gelatin is not manufactured from horns or hooves or meat of
animals, for these do not contain the necessary collagen).

"It is interesting to note that during manufacture of gelatin, chemical
changes take place so that, in the final gelatin product, the composition
and identity of the original material is completely eliminated. Because of
this, gelatin is not considered a meat food product by the United States
government..."

I thought they passed a law forbidding cows to be fed feed containing deceased cattle?? Provided this law is in effect, I would think the chances of contracting mad cow disease is low.... [I hope :worried: ]

The US doesn't get our cows from Canada or Europe.....so there...

(you do realize I'm being facetous, don't you?)

I've watched not so long ago a documentary about the desease

The mother of a yong woman in her 20s was relating her daughter long battle with the desease and it was really sad and scary

It makes you want eat organic

as for the US, there is no mad cow because there are not enough tests

This thread becoming too sad here is a joke :

Smart man + Smart Woman = Romance
Smart Man + Dumb Woman = Pregnancy
Dumb Man + Smart Woman = Affair
Dumb Man + Dumb Woman = Marriage

it's collagen from the bones, as long as they aren't grinding neural tissue into it (I would not be surprised if they did - they're probably so cheap that they'd use the spine/skull)
