So is it safe to use a old bottle to mix my gear? I feel like i'm inaccurate when withdrawing my gear and mixing in the syringe

Yes it is safe to use. Just be very careful on keeping everything sanitary when transferring oil from one vial to the other.

It is safe to do so, but I think that you will be losing more oil when it will stick to the walls of the bottle, rahter than due to miscalculations when doing it in the syringe. Afrer all, it won't really make a difference if you will use just a bit more or less oil.
