I heard it this morning on NPR on the way home from the gym. I got a little misty, no joke. I think most of the people on my "want to meet" list have already died.

i wasn't into the characters. for a great novel, i think you need to establish a connection with the characters. Confessions of Felix Krull, Confidence Man book bored me nuts, by Thomas Mann, (won a Nobel Prize for Literature). The man character didn't get me into the book.
