.... so, to prove us all wrong, once and for all, how about posting a pic of yourself with a sign with your name written on it (- al la jenniferBFL)...... just so that we know that it is really you in your avatar.

I don't have a digital camera...I just got these pics put on a cdrom after being developed with a throwaway 35mm camera.

you want a pic of me holding up my middle finger and a sign...that'll take another week.

In the meantime...you all can place bets on whether its me or not.

One of the reasons I like forums is the opportunity to talk without being hindered by what we look like. Of course, my favorite forum happens to be about bb'ing, which is ALL about looks.

Go figure.

I'll prove its me...but it will take another few days.

Somehow I wonder if its worth it. The mystery was a lot more fun. sigh.

I'm going to do it....I'm just not one of these people that enjoys
picture taking...this set was painful enough...nice to compare my progress to old pics, though.

Plus, it cost me $16 just for this set with the CDRom set!

Technically/legally, I am not married. In my state, same sexes cannot be married.

I have been with a woman for four years. We live together.

Things have been rocky lately, though. We are more like friends rather than lovers.

I think this happens to women who have been together a long time (4 years is long for a gay relationship).

Women tend to lose their sex drive as they age, but mine seems to be increasing. Sigh.

What I really want is a husband AND a wife.

I once had this opportunity...why oh why didn't I just do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me ask you a question, if "4 years is long for a gay relationship", what will happen when states start allowing legal same-sex marriages? Will there be a huge spike in the divorce rate?

um, no. And I'll tell you why...short version:

Part of the reason why gay relationships are short is because of lack of a support system. Straight people don't realize it, but family support, legal support, societal support, are what hold relationships together during difficult and good times.

Imagine a relationship with no legal strings....what happens is, you mentally and emotionally deal with things as if they could possibly end...meaning...you have NO legal recourse if something should happen. The tendency is toward separate checking accounts, separate furniture ownership, car note in one name....in some, not all relationships. This goes for straights too, but then, they have societal and familial support, usually.

I could go on...but then this would turn into a 'should gays be allowed to get married thread' ;)

I respect your honesty. I suggest that you start looking for a more rewarding relationship.

If you really want a woman AND a man, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a couple. It's easy for a woman to find a M/F couple... or a F/F couple to find a man who is interested...... The hard thing is for a M/F couple to find another woman.... too much demand and not enough supply :( I know:bawling:
