stretch marks, why?

why did i get stretch marks? i got a lot on upper thighs and butt...finished my second cycle like 2 mos ago. why did i get them? i did put on some fat and i was thinking that is why my skin got weak

also what do u recommend for skinny calves? i do standing calve raises..what else can I do to get them to grow????

buddy, you got stretch marks because your muscles just grew so damn fast that your skin had to stretch like hell. You're muscles are not to meant to grow as fast as they do on AS, and your skin has to try and rapidly adjust to this change. A lot of my friends got stretch marks after their cycles...usually around the armpits.
 
bro consider them battle scars....;) actually, if you are getting them use some vitmain E and tanning to make them not look as bad...
 
ive been getting some new stretch marks, actually on my bicep. they suck. im rubbing vitamin e on them and so far no change. just get some sun.
 
Well ive got stretch marks and have never done AS. sort of from my armpit to the point where the delt meets the biceps... both sides and look angry and red. They are actually dents. Seem to be different to the strethmarks I got from being fat... around my lower abdomen I have loads of little squggly stretch marks that are silver. Ive been training heavy weights for a little over 4 months now so it happens when not using AS. Must be the initial response to training... I expect muscle growth will slow down a bit now... wish the marks would go though... look nasty as hell.

If you undergo rapid changes in size in any bodypart there is a good chance that you will get some stretch marks. Skin is naturally stretchy, but rapid growth can stretch the skin too far too quickly resulting in tearing of the lower layers of skin.....this leaves a visible mark on the skins surface.

Also, you might get them more frequently if your nutrition isnt all it should be resulting in weaker skin. A good multi-vitamin/mineral has helped a few people I know in this respect.

I've had those stretch marks by my chest since I first started lifting (my chest grows fast).
I love em!
I love showing people..."Look how big I am" :)
 
Congrats...shows you are growing. There are some topical creams out there that help. Do a search for stretch marks on your browser and you'll come up with tons of stuff. U can also go see a dermatologist and they'll help u out. Supposedly u cannot get rid of them 100% just make them less noticable.
 
Gaining substantial mass be it muscle or fat will cause the skin to stretch tearing collagen strands in the dermis. The same happens after loosing a lot of weight quickly. The skin does not have time to tighten to the new contour of the body and the skin saggs, also stretching the skin causing the same results.
Topical steroids can do the same (hydro-cortizone).
 
I've got one that goes from my armpit to my bicep that looks like a scar from a knife wound. I told some people I was in a knife fight once and they believed me. Oh well!

I would like to get rid of them. They were cool for a while but I don't like them anymore. Has anyone ever had laser surgery to remove them?
