**Stretch marks** do they eventually turn white??

I was wondering, for those who have had stretch marks... Do they turn white over time? I have some nasty red ones and I do mean nasty, running accross my forearms and biceps. Is it true that they turn white over time? I can live with white stretch marks but not red ones.

yes i belive they do whiten in colour but they still look like u have leporsy or somthing. just not as obvious it takes a while for them to turn white though.

The ones I have by my pits going towards my pecs are red, have always been red and will probably always be red. I kinda like them :-)

i know how you feel Strong_man20 I'm in the same situation. I have a couple small ones at the top of my forearm and all over my biceps and lats. It sux when you start to get them on your forearms because you don't want to wear shortsleave shirts. I just started putting vitamin E on them and I'll tell you if it makes a big difference

I'm in the same situtation.

I gottem by my arm pits stretching out towards my chest.. The majority of them have turned white, but the ones which come out further are still red.. I don't know why?

Along my inner leg..a.k.a groin area... I got some good ones there, even though no one will see them, I still can :)

I got some also on my hip.. those are the worst.. I wish those went there.

I'll start tanning shortly, hopefully all goes well and covers them up.

Vit-e gel is probably you're best bet for getting them to turn white. It helped for me.

dont worry bro..they will fade in with time..ive tried everything..and the only thing you can really do is let them fade in...trust me i have them everywhere..give me another 2years at this rate and all i will be is one giant stretch mark...i think ill enter the guiness book of worlds record for it..lol...g

Sorry bro's, stretch marks don't and won't go away.... ever. Unless you get expensive, not worth it, laser surgery. Chalk it up to genetics. I get a stretch mark if a girl bites my ass to hard and pulls. Some people will gain 200 lbs and not get one. They are red when they are new, white when they are old. I've had some for over 8 years now. They don't go away, get smaller, or anything. Tanning doesn't help, Vit-e doesn't help, all the miracle solutions don't help, nothing helps. The stretch mark actually accurs under the skin when your tissue grows faster than the skin can keep up with. Its kinda like a peice of plastic. When you bend it, it loses its original texture at the point of bending. When you bend it back, it's still white with stress at the point that was bent. You can't get it back to normal without melting the whole thing and then reshaping it (laser surgery)..

sorry to break the bad news.
