Strength Gains (n00b warning)

CRsteve

New member
Ok, so I've been reading on here and all over every link that I see posted here for the past few months. I, personally, am not a bodybuilder nor am I much interested, but I am an athlete. Most of what I read has to do with putting on mass. But to my question:

I was wondering if any one product or stack of products was superior to others at increasing strength. I'm already big enough (I'm a college offensive lineman), but I really need to get my strength up. Thanks in advance for all your help.

For pure strength I would go with Halotestin (fluoxymesterone), Android (Methyltestosterone) or Fina (Trenbolone Acetate).

Halo is a 17AA oral taken in the 20-40MG dose range. It is mainly used by football players, boxers, powerlifters who need to stay in a certain weight class because it imparts great strength gains without adding mass and gives a huge influx of aggression. Halo does not aromatize at all.

Methyltestosterone is also a 17AA oral which has many of the same characteristics of Halo, except it easily aromatizes to estrogen, which is a major downside.

Tren is a injectible vet drug that has many of the same aspects of Halo with more serious sides, it's not for the inexperienced AAS user. It has the most potential risk with the most potential reward.....very rough drug.

Hope this helps......nugga.

Thanks for the help! I've read quite a few of the experiences on here with Tren and it seems to be a bit out of my league. This would be my first cycle and probably the most important (it'll make or break scholarship awards coming after next season).

Yea, eat some food. Really, try eating 5,000 calories for awhile

Wrong post? I eat like a damn horse. The "college offensive lineman" should clarify that aspect. :D

That's what I thought.....lineman are huge.....but functional strength is more important than mass, IMO.

What's the point of being 350lbs when you can't control your own body momentum and have no speed?

You should try Halo and you'll see what I mean about the strength aspect.

I'm actually the smallest offensive lineman on the team at 6'1 268lbs. I'm lifting as often as the coach will open the weight room on a restricted lifting program by our strength coach (5 days/week, 2hrs/day) and eating more than I can afford. I'm not going to juice quite yet, but definately before next season starts (August 4). The post was to help bump me in a more refined research area. Thanks for the post, though.

*note to self* SEARCH! N00B!

I only clicked the "search this forum" link before and I got prompted to go plat, didn't see the other search feature. Thanks once again.

Couple questions. Do you get tested on a regular basis? If so, how often? Also, do any of your teammates, specifically the other lineman, take anything?

With regard to your inquiry about AAS and strength, I had a college buddy who was national championship wrestler at Penn State years ago that swore by anavar. I've never used it myself though. There are alot of people on this baord that have and may be able to offer some feedback ?

So you are a College lineman or your going to be one? "(it'll make or break scholarship awards coming after next season)."?, if you are a college lineman talk to the stregnth coach, or talk to some Power or O-lifters. you probly should not be lifting 5 days a week, actually i think that could be hurting you. are you liting bodypart a day or are you going with more of a power breakdown of upper, lower, upper, lower? stregnth increases from AAS can be great but you might not even be tapping your natural limits on stregnth. are you even lifting for stregnth going to 1-3 rep maxes and working close to you limits. Not trying to knowck you down but if your thinking of AAS and would risk NCAA detection you should try everything else first. Try westside with some tweeks it can be a great template for a Football Player, probly said too much for one post PM if you have any Questions I may not be the most knowledgeable but i'll try to help.

I might be drawing the wrong conclusion here, but as a lineman you're already a big dude. Why shy away from the mass builders like test / dbol / deca?

I would think lean mass drugs would be much more beneficial to the smaller guys than you at your position.

Assuming you have a diet from your coach, and you eat the way I ate when I played, I think you'd benefit more from something like test than, say anavar.

I play Junior College football, no testing whatsoever do to budget cuts. Also, none of the other linemen take anything.

biggsben: I am a college lineman, but junior college. Last year was my first college football year after I took some time off (but I still got the starting spot :D). My lifting days are broken down into a Heavy Lower/ Light Upper/ [active day off] / Light Lower / Heavy Upper and the active day off consists of light lifts on "look good" muscles and cardio.

I'm pathetically weak compared to what I was lifting 2 years ago (because of my horrible idea to think I was done with athletics) so I'm not even close to as strong as I can get naturally. I have a TON of room to gain strength naturally, which is why I won't be doing AAS yet. But when this much money is on the line, I definately want to have a cycle down or be on a cycle during the start of the season so that I can be competative against the All-American players in my conference.

Yeah look into a simple test-dbol cycle. Don't wanna go too nuts on your first cycle

Good job on pulling the starting spot, I understand your system but I still have to ask what your set rep schemes are. if you've had the stregnth before you might have to just readjust your body to going heavy adn gettign strong. your CNS and muscles will remember and you will gain back what you had relatively quickly, I would wait until you are back to where you were before going with the AAS, and don't shy away from mass drugs that give great stregnth too you could prob put on 20LBs decent mass and still not be too big for your size as a O-lineman. again look into West Side when I ran it I was gaining stregnth very quickly. plus they put alot of emphasis on Tri's with their benching style.
