Strained groin muscle

I think I've strained my groin muscle playing a game of pickup football today in the rain. What should I do to help it to heal fastest?
 
ICE..... to keep the swelling down. 15 min of ice and then 1 hour rest, then repeat. NO heat for at least one week. NO stretching either. Let the muscle heal...... on the 15 min things do as many as you can do. the more you ice it the better.
