stopping T-3 early

I started taking cytomel about a week ago went up pretty quick 25, 25, 50, 50, 75, 75, 0 I am on Adderall allready so the T-3 isn't causing any additional weight loss, infact I think the t-3 is making me crave carbs. Do you think my thyroid will be affected by stopping so quick since the time on was so short?
 
I would still taper off the same way you tapered up. If your only on day 6, then your thyroid probably hasn't even shut down much at all, but any sudden hault of t3 can cause a suppression. Play it safe brotha

It could be. Always taper down, better safe than sorry.
 
are you stopping because you don't notice any kidn of weight loss? it's only been 6 days, don't you think you should keep it up for a bit longer? (any vets could help out here on the time line on noticing results) What was your height/weight/bf% and training/diet? You can't just take t3 and expect to get ripped after 6 days, but if you want to get off from my understanding going from 75mcg's to 25 and then to nothing is not going to cut it cuz i'm pretty sure your thyroid would have shut down immediatley after you started taking more than 25mcg's. You should probably taper down 50, 50, 37.5, 37.5, 25, 25, 12.5, 12.5, 12.5 at least.
 
Dude, taper down. And I hope the T3 experts will read this thread answer as well. I wouldn't fuck with thyroid hormones, be careful. Personally I'll never touch them, but to each his own. Just be careful with them.
 
I want to stop because I think with the Adderall and proper diet and exercise I can lose the fat without continuing to risk my thyroid. I am currently 5'11 195 at about 12%. I had my 3rd shoulder rebuild last month, can't lift so I am doing cardio and legs so I don't get too fat. Want to get to 185 at 6% so I can cut to 178 for Judo.
 
You have to taper down. T3 isn't like test. When you stop taking test the body will start slowly producing test assuming one uses proper pct. When one abrupbtly stops taking T3 there is a severe lack of T3 in the blood so therefore the metabolism slows quickly and the fat starts pouring on. When you taper it gives your body time to adjust and start producing more TSH.
