Stir Fry Veggies...

Ok... so we all know how important it is to eat our 5 servings of veggies
a day but most of us are not doing it...

I find the easiest way is by making them all in a stir fry...
does anyone have any suggestions what to add for flavor?

I put just a little veggie oil and some soy sauce... anyone else?

Stirfry is yummy...

I need to have it more often, but I never feel like cooking. Althought I do have the hang of making some pretty decent stirfry. Anyone want some? :)

I love to stir fry but I always use PAM as my cooking oil of choice. Some peppers, onions, add some chicken maybe some brocoli and some brown rice and I am in heaven.

Get assorted veggies that you would see for Chinese food... any veggies can be used, really... I just prefer a more Oriental cuisine.

Get some lean beef or chicken... pork is good, too... but we want a lower fat. Soak the shit in Oyster Sauce and Teriyaki for at least a half hour... It is best over night, but to make it quick, at least a half an hour. Then, heat that wok up... :) Put in a little bit of a low fat cooking oil... just a small amount to line the inside a bit as it gathers at the bottom. Dump the meat in, cook it most of the way, then take the meat out and put aside in a dish.

What I do then is cook the veggies, mixing them up in the wok. After the veggies are nice and cooked, throw the meat back in and stir it up nicely. Let it finish cooking and simmer. Viola, you have yummy stuff.

Anyone else have their ways of doing this?

PS: Also good to top noodles... Yummy.

stir fry as basic as it gets! ;)

1. hot pan (saute pan) + cold oil
2. toss in veggies
3. add a little liquid (wine, broth or whatever you want)
4. season (your choice of herbs & spices)
5. simmer until veggies are tender (most of the liquid will evaporate)
6. eat
