Hey girls!!!!

Down here in down under having the TIME OF MY LIFE!! Sydney is a GORGEOUS city and every one here is amazingly friendly and chatty and just downright lovin'!

Thought I'd drop in quickly to update you all, after all my woeful pre-comp posts. I'm finally off my sick diet and feeling like a million bucks! I came 5th in my contest ... out of 6 girls, and I'm perfectly happy with the results - there were 3 very well developed women who took the top 3 spots, and the rest of us were placed exactly right. Everyone in my class, and well, basically EVERYONE backstage and in the audience was fantastic!! There's a huge feeling of love and support and joy and LIFE down here - everyone supporting and cheering everyone else - it feels so good.

I got rousing applause for my posing routine - it went down very well indeed - the audience really got into it - *I* got really into it too, and people were whistling and cheering and it was just fucking incredible and I loved every second of being on stage once again. My placings and preparation will get better and better the longer I do this. It was great talking to the other women - they gave me a lot of tips and advice, and just, you know - experiences they'd had, and how it is each time and stuff - it was really really cool. Everyone complimented me on my routine afterwards, and TONS of people have complimented me on my physique ariund town - or have seen me in town and told me they saw the show and stuff - lol - I feel like a movie star, ha ha ha ha ha whoo hoo. :)

The carb up and water drop went perfectly - brought me in looking just fine - hell, not shredded, not ripped, but jolly well better than at least one other person on stage, so that's OK.

I was completely paranoid about post-comp - but I'm handling it very well - had steamed veggies and rice and dhal for my first meal - and a chocolate brownie and some chocolates, but not out of control. Then ate whatever - pizza and stuff on Monday, then dropped the carbs to only breakfast for yesterday and today so far - eating lots of cottage cheese, protein bars, veggies, egg whites, some yoghurt, peanut butter, walnuts - feeling just FINE :) Got some fairly uncomfortable water bloat happening, but it's under control, and nowhere NEAR as bad as last time. Cravings are pretty much not happening - yeah, I'd LIKE to be eating those vegetarian strudels and spinach and ricotta pies and pastries, (my GOD there is so much incredible and easily available and tasty looking food in this city!!!) but I can live without them for now - just gotta look at my ankles and I'm A-OK eating some more cottage cheese.

I feel GREAT! And wanna thank everyone for the awesome support and advice given before I came down here - MS - I saw your bump on the other thread - thank you.

Went back to the gym first time today - did a nice whole-body routine - feel GREAT! Then went to a "fetish" shop and bought a black fake bikini bra with a chain halter neck for the biggest dyke event Sydney has ever seen, happening TONIGHT - gotta run home and get ready :D

Australians are SO cool - wow - you can walk into a store and just get to chatting for, like, an hour, then leave with e-mail addresses, phone numbers ...

Wow!

So that's my update - will post a bit more when I have a little more time and less party primping to do, heh heh :)

Ciao for now!! :D :D :D

Congratulations! Sounds like you're having fun! Please eat some chocolate for me so way I can live vicariously through you!

CONGRATS!!! You sound SO happy...

Have fun tonight...take pics. ;)

Ohhh, ME TOO! It just feels so damn good to be able to WALK without feeling like I have teeny leeches attached to each and every cell, sucking, sucking my energy away. :D I just LOVE being with me right now, heh heh :) All my friends are happy too - they don't have to put up with grumpy Steel. I've been deep belly laughing for a week - god it's been so long. Walking around town, or the beach or wherever just grinning, sucking in the fine blue sky, the joy of being alive.

Thanks everyone for the congrats - oh, and JJ - I think I've had enough chocolate for the whole women's board to live vicariously through me :) After the party Wed night - oh my god an awesome event - I was in sensory overload - wow wow wow - never seen so many hot and different women all in the same place together - low carbing went out the window for a bit, til I was invited to pose at the closing ceremony - then I had to try a few more protein only tricks. Here's the funniest - we were only on stage for about a minute, but I somehow managed to trip over one of the dancers and came a-cropper in front of, like,
10 000 people - bwwaaa ha haaa haa haa - it was a huge trip (ho ho, pun not intended).

I had professional pictures taken just after the show, by a LOVELY and very sexy man - is everyone in Sydney so hot? There sure seem to be a lot of hot people here - it must be the climate. :) Anyway, the pics came out very nicely indeed (sorry, I didn't get any of the fetish top - I don't think - was too excited to get down to the venue, lol. Gosh, it's the sexiest thing I've ever owned, blush) so I'll post when I get back to Japan in a few weeks.

One of the best parts about this whole thing has been the people I've met who are into training and bodybuilding etc. One of the women there said the dieting gets better and less complex the more times you do it - that your body almost learns where it has to go, and gets there more easily. Well, that was her experience, but I believe her. I have so much hope for my future in this sport. A lot of people told me I have good symmetry, especially coinsidering my height, so that's inspiring and motivating. Bodybuilding is SOOOO cool - this is the ultimate sport. I totally love it - it's such a huge challenge, and such a huge thrill when you surmount the challenges. (and the attention helps too, lol :) )

Also, seeing people in the ultra masters classes, just kicking ass - fantastic physiques, looking 20, 30, 40 years younger than they actually are - out there pumping iron into their 50's, 60's, 70's - WOW! Wow wow wow - really amazing. One guy I met works out with Bill Pearl, can you believe that??? And he looks incredible for his age, just incredible.

So, ladies, keep on pumping that iron, and make sure you give a good grunt now and then :fro:

Off to do some, e-hem, bulking :D
