I felt I should give you guys a heads-up about a story in England's best selling daily tabloid newspaper, The Sun.
It appears that Oscar Pistorious - who shot his girlfriend dead a few days ago - was using banned steroids, as police investigators have found substances in his home. A picture on The Sun website shows amps stacked on culture sample trays. Looking at the amps it seems they are some sort of enanthate. Whether or not it's testosterone I don't know.
Anyway, my point is, the newspaper is speculating that the killing of his girlfriend was due to Roid Rage. Guest doctors and other bods are now jumping on this and saying steroids change peoples perceptions and reactions detrimentally, and can make ordinary people unnaturally angry. They continue the story with photographs and accompanying text about other high profile murder cases where the assailants were using steroids.
Looks like the journos are going to make a meal of this one.
What do you folks think?
