Steroids for allergies????

A person that I work with got back from the doctor the other day as he has terrible allergies this time of year. He said that the doctor gave him a needle and that it was anabolic steroids. I didnt really believe him, but he said that he asked the doctor if he could reap any of the muscle building benefits from it from training at at the gym. The doctor supposedly said ... "in theory .... yes, but your dose is to small to really do anything".

Have you ever heard of this? What would the shot be? A few cc's of test for allergies? Sounds a little weird to me.

I've always wondered the same thing when people say they are prescribed steroids for certain sicknesses.

Yes Terminator, that makes a little more sense I guess. I know that Inhalant corticosteroids are used to prevent asthma attacks.

You are probably right about the doctor, plus the guy telling me this could have piped the story up a little. Maybe he was just trying to talk the lingo with me. hahahaha

Cheers,
Mavy

I do know that anabolic steroids are prescribed for some cases. I think that it mostly used for recovery purposes or in cases of muscle wasting.

I believe that anavar is the number one drug of choice right now for AIDS patients. Dont quote me on this, just remember reading it somewhere.

It is used for AIDS patients (as is GH), and with all the unprotected sex I have had in my life it's just a matter of time before the gov't starts providing them for me....:sperm: :worried:
