steroids and tooth loss?

i know that heroin/cocaine when used in injectable can lead to some serious tooth loss..but what about steroids? I have been using steroids for about a solid 2yrs...and my teeth are worse than ever..Anyone knowledgeable in this feild?

If anything I would bet its prolly not the AAS but perhaps the use of anti-e's since estrogen is crucial for bone density, but thats just speculation on my part, never really looked into it.

i don't doubt it for a moment...steroids def SPEED up growth as well as tooth decay,vision as well...IMO...

Try this cycle out.

Brushing 3 x per day
Flossing - after every meal.

The only teeth related problems I know of is that since our protein synthesis is accelerated, we of course take in large amounts of protein...well that leads to increase in plaque.

hmmmm..if anti-e's decrease bone density that would explain why my humerous bone broke so easy when i was on cycle last time..plus..i heard that extreme amounts of protein eat away the enamel on yer teeth

Had my 3rd tooth pooled recently

How old are you? Im 41 and it seems like its all started to happen at once. Ive been on for almost 3 years now. All of the teeth were
cracked from some trauma. Dentist said it can take a while for the crack to develop an abscess and you may never know when it happened. I love popcorn so... No cavities. Said my teeth were in relatively good shape. Persistent infections have been a problem and they eroded the bone till the tooth would be ready to drop.
Get this the Dentist actually told me that AAS would fire the erosion and loss of my teeth thru its ability to put fire to the plack and bacteria that erode dentine. So you teeth could be a result off AAS use
