steroids and the military

this is not true. I know a guy who HAD To be on steroids. The army put him on HRT because he took so many his body got fucked up. He started getting messed up at basic because his body was shutting down and they hooked him up. Ask a recruiter just to be use they got me in while i was smoking pot.

I tested hot for coke back in the day. I was a good soldier and my CO liked me so i just got busted down and had to do a treatment program. That was pre 9/11 so i assume they would be even more lax these days. From what i hear they are letting lots of people in that would have been turned down back then.

lol yeah a bunch of super soldiers "raging" on the enemy would be just what the doc ordered in some of the branches.
i thought i saw something on the history channel about the nazis using steroids in WWII. maybe that's why those fuckin SS guys were so scary.

no bro they dont test for them nor are they going to wast there time and money to test you. I got busted for addarol in the military and I acctaully got a peep at all the drugs they test for and sterioids is not on there.......If you look at it bro say for example you're taking test prop the only way they could find out that you're on the juice is if they acctualy test your testosterone levels

They only test if there is a reasonable suspicion. The random urinalysis only look for the recreational drugs. Roid test is a special test.

I was in the Marines and got caught with gear while I was stationed on a ship. Marines can't refuse NJP while aboard a Navy Ship so I had to go Batallion level NJP. My Lt. Col busted me down from Lcpl to PFC and took all my money for a month. When I got back to the states they moved me to another unit and I got to stay in, got to the rank of SGT and and Honorable discharge.
If you are going to juice be careful and for God Sake don't tell anyone as they will rat on you.

The answer to your question is no, they don't test you for roids at meps, they don't have the equipment to do it. It's usually sent cross country to a Olympic Testing center, or a university, UCLA being the only one I know about. To do the test is 250 dollars. They are not going to spend this money. Before doing your test, they have you sign a paper that lets you know which drugs they are testing you for. Meth, LSD, Morphine, Weed, Coke, Heroin and variations of those, if they really wanted to test you for steroids, they'd have you sign another piece of paper giving them permission to do so. With the hundreds of different body types they see walk threw that place every single day, they really dont care. I just came back from a station recently and everyone there seemed pretty much disinterested and aloof. So you'll be good. When you get in, again, they only test for the same drugs as MEPS, if they want to test for roids, they again have to ask you, and they have to have probable cause to do so. If you decide to do it, dont tell a soul, dont have your gear strewn about in your foot locker, and be smart about it. Gaining 20 pounds of muscle in a month or two probably won't help you either. Anyways, I digress. If they ask, say no, a few days later, you'll probably be ordered to take one, if you come up positive you'll be administratively seperated. If you say yes and come up positive, you could be court martialed. Which, as we all know, is very bad.

They type of punishment you may or may not receive has A LOT to do with the particular branch of service and the current military &, political situation. In the AF today, you would be more likely to be discharge than in the Army today. The Air Force is "Force Shaping", the Army is starving for all the troops they can get.

Yes they will f**king test you being as i was tested for AAS and given a general under other than honorable conditions. If you dont know sh*t bout the subject dont put your two cents in. But for anyone who is going to do it regaurdless just dont get carried away. It really doesnt matter who likes you. I was promoted maratouriously to corporal by my command and they tried to keep me in but no go. at the end of the day its in the generals hands at TCOM well for marines anyway. And there is a ZERO tolerance policy. take my word for it i know it first hand. So just be safe and dont trust anyone. And no the random urinalysis does not test for aas. You must be specifically tested for them. and for any idiots who are tellin you lets say that you are taking test prop and the only way they can check you is by testing your test levels thats bs test prop for example is not straight test the chemicals that put it in your blood pop on the test. Just sharing my personal experience.......
I was Court marshalled since i did not specify. I was made an example out of. The united states marine corps is what i served in. You really would think that being in the marines and them saying how they want to increase numbers. getting discharged is complete bs. I did two tours in iraq they didnt care when i was sticking my neck out for them. It really blows my mind that the marine corps would really come down on aas so hard. but you live and you learn. just know the possible consequences.

When I was in the Infantry (Active Duty) I was also the urinalysis NCO for a couple years....they wont test you unless they have resonable suspicion that your on...they being your commander....Not sure about the "marines" but it costs the army around $1000.00 dollars to test "one" soldier. Every other piss test you take is for recreational drugs. We just took a piss test in the reserves a few months ago and a couple of my buddies were on....they all passed. If your heading to MEPS and your still worried about it....go to a doctor and talk to him...ask to be tested and have bloodwork done....until you can pass..then go in....military is always going to be their.

Well I will be going to MEPS in a couple of weeks and I just injected twice this week 500mg total of testE, will this show in the blood work? I heard they just look for stds and Hiv with your blood work. So am I fucked?

what were you on? you passed your blood work? I wanted to continue test after meps before I go into bootcamp.
get clean, go to bootcamp. the last thing you want to try and worry about is pct. can you run fast? can you do alot of pull ups and situps? can you hump a ruck? I know this has nothing to do with your question but i figured id throw my .02 cents in. let me know if you have any mil questions.

Yes I can run fast, 1 mile in 8:45....so far, 80pushups in 1min and 75sit ups in 1 min. 20 pullups so far (overhand).
I retired after 25 years as a 1SG from the US Army. In my entire 25 years I only witnessed one person being tested although I new first hand of dozens of people who used them. He also was a 1SG stationed about 100 miles from me in Korea. The only reason he was tested was one of his soldiers that he lifted with was in trouble for something else and thought he'd get a lighter sentence if he squeeled. The Command had to request for the test due to cost but justified it with probable cause. Of-course this other 1SG (E8) tested positive and was reduced to SPC (E4) then put out of the Army at 19 years. No retirement, no real benifits. This was back in 1995.
So yes, the Army tests for AAS but due to cost usually only with probable cause.

Sounds like your pretty set on getting there asap.....I'm not sure what the blood work consists of......it "should" be std's and hiv...but I've heard of people finding out they have sickle cell anemia there at meps.....it's up to you if you want to chance it....if thats you in your pic....you look good...but you dont look like a professional bodybuilder....so "if" they normally dont test for it ...they shouldnt have any suspicion to do so....good luck

P.S......remember to where underwear to MEPS...remember having to the duckwalk, lunges...etc...in your briefs...lol...last thing youd want the doctor to see is needle marks on your ass....
actually the doc will make you bend over and spread cheeks too (no lie)
so any obvious marks will be noticeable anyway, but i really doubt its of any concern

thanks guys for your replys. Yea I heard of the whole ass spreading at meps, but Im healed up right now, and when I usually inject I dont even get sore. One I get through meps I plan on a PCT so I wont crash. I was going to try primordialperformance and see how that works, then try there lean muscle stack.

They won't test you unless you make a spectacle of yourself. I'm in the AF and I stay clean just because of the potential consequences if I did get caught. I'm more worried about getting it than taking it as that seems like the time where you are taking the most risk. Anyone who has ever been in can tell you that there are PLENTY of not-so-natural looking guys in the gym on base. Most people are oblivious so don't give them a reason to figure it out and you'll be fine.
the following link contains an AMA article descibing what may lead a doctor to suspect something. The question is, are they consciously looking? I think it's best to time any cycles well outside of medical examination dates.

Yeah it's definitely not condoned, but the fact that everyone is ignorant to what steroids are really all about will help your cause. Most people think steroid users are all gigantic fire breathing assholes. As long as you don't play into the stereotype you would be fine unless they find it on you or something.
I am now a Marine but I spent a loooong time in the Army. When I was in Iraq with the Army myself and a few other guys were using and our chain of command looked the other way about it. That was the Army now I'm in the Corps and I'm really iffy about even doing AAS again only because I don't know about the rest of the Corps but in my unit if you pop for anything YOU WILL get a NJP, brig time and whatever discharge they can give you. The Army if hurting for people bad so they will take anything they can get right about now but if your built like a brick sh!thouse and can PT your ass off they will love you. As for the Marines its gonna be a crap shoot depending on your COC.
