Steroid talk right now

Hey bros I've just been watching the ESPN episodes and the news and all the talk about Steroids causing deaths, depression and amputations etc. All I want to know is how much abuse comes with this?? How badly are people abusing these Anabolic substances to where they have to have a leg amputated or depression turns to suicide? I'm on my second cycle and I have to tell you I'm almost a little worried about running more than 3 or 4 cycles in my whole lifetime now, more than ever. Also it's sorta giving me a bad feeling when both of my parents are watching ESPN with me and they are like, oh, oh God, oh that's horrible, ya see what that crap does to you? Promise me you'll never do that.....ICK what a bad feeling......Any elaborations on this will be appreciated. Thanks bros

I think you need forget what the media is saying and do what's right for you. You need to research anything you put in your body, but don't believe any of this hype they are trying to push right now. As far as your parents, just nod your head yes and go along with what they say, even if you disagree with them, they're your parents and you don't want them thinking you're on.

Steriods biggest problem is that no drug company has them locked-in with patents so they can be high margin products. If the same company that made Viagra had Testosterone Esters locked-up as well as Viagra, you'd be getting free sample vials handed to you at your local MD's office.

It's the same reason that physicians often overlook good, old-fashioned tried and true antibiotics, heart medicines, pain relievers, etc. etc. -- some pretty young thing from a pharma company isn't in their office 5 days a week with her boobs in his face telling him how her specialty product is "better" -- despite being 8x the price.

I saw ESPN today, too. What they may have taken for granted was that these guys(on the part I saw) were teenagers. And they didn't mention what they took or how much. It just seemed like scare tactics to me.

ok...breath...here i go..steriods biggest problem is not steriods but the ingorant uneducated fucks that dont understand what moderation is...some of these reported cases are of people that have issues already and feel that AAS is a magic drug that will help them blow up, land the job and get the girl..get fucking real! But like you said you are not sure if you want to run your 3rd of 4th cycle...that is YOUR option...no one is going to come down on you for your choice...how many steriods PUSHERS do you know? Ever seen a guy stand out at a playground giving out free samples...bottom line is you need to do whatever it is to keep your sanity..if you feel like it may affect you in that way..then stop...as far as your parents go..im pretty sure everyone has been in the situation when an alcohol add comes on the TV and then they show the affects of abusing alcohol or smoking for that matter and your parents look at you and do the same..does that stop some of us from enjoying a beer with a freind..no? a cigar ? No...bottom line is that you have to do whats best for you...but dont beleive all the hype you hear!

I totally agree. It's all in perception. Over time, our society has become de-sensitized to alcohol & cigarette use. AAS, when used with intelligence & moderation is just another 'supplement' (i.e., tool) used in building your body; but like almost anything else, abuse can lead to problems. Most of the users of AAS that I know live relatively healthy lifestyles and don't abuse alcohol or cigarettes. The biggest problem currently with steroid use/abuse stems from the public's/media's perception of steroids which is grounded in ignorance.

I am making a generalization here. This is not directed at you personally. Anyone who uses television as a source for news and information is basically saying, "I am too lazy and/or disinterested in researching for myself the news events of the day and want someone to spoon feed me their biased slant on the topic. Further more I don't care if the facts are correct just as long as it sounds plausible. I would also like, if possible, for the news event to be as sensationalized as possible. This way I have something interesting to talk about at work around the water cooler."

In the 1800's, training for specific sports was considered "unseemly" because it detracted from the amateurish nature of sports. My how times can change!

Thanks for all the input guys....I did my research and have found out what is good for me to do, in the way of cycles etc. I just think that that do really neglect to show what these kids were doing. Everytime they do a special they say, he started with Dianabol 3 times a week......BUT what did he continue with? or abuse? It's all a bunch of bullshit to me and I am going to do what I feel is right. Again thanks for all the responses.

Sounds good.... hey... if I listened to and believed everything I heard on fox, espn, cnn, etc. I would be huddled in my bomb shelter eating nothing but non-carcigenous broccoli and string beans reading "yoga digest/comming out monthly" fearfully awaiting a nuclear terrorist attack in my very city.
Ack! You get the picture.
