I'm not interested in IP hiding, more like destination hiding. I need my assigned IP to get through our server, I jsut want to mask where I go, even if just the logs like the expertpc.com EF stealth site does.

Up in the top right, there is a free one. Just put in the address you want to look at.

thats the kid of stuff I'm looking for, thanks.

Before I spend $30 on that, are there any free versions out there?

just save yourself some trouble and come out of the fuckin closet already. we all know so it wont be a surprise to us .

i have a list, but not with me. if you pm me tomorrow, i'll give you about 5 free ones.

Get your own domain and you can have all the liberty you want. They're cheap enough to set up. I use speednames to host mine. You can then point anything.yourname.com to point to anywhere at all and you can change it at a moment's notice.

If you go for a .net or a .org address they look even less suspicious.

yeah they've been around for a few years now, so I'm not suprised your network admin knows about it. You'll need to find a really new one apparently.

PS I dig the sexy libarian look you're workin'.

I couldn't find a free one in Stilletos list

Rottenwillow, that one fuck up my IE browser settings and wouldn't even let me get on the net, I had to uninstall.

Blut Wump, tell me a little more about that works.

you turd, they were all free.
i'll give you a better list tomorrow.

You pay to own your own set of web addresses, for example, sorearms.com.

You can then create an entry under sorearms.com such as expertpc.sorearms.com. You then link the new address with a website, such as ef. So, you'd type expertpc.sorearms.com into your browser and the DNS host would translate that to go to this site. Whenever you wanted, you could point it to elsewhere or even destroy it. I think they let you have ten addresses at any one time as part of the basic package.

.com, .org and .net are €75 for two years at speednames. No idea what that'd be in dollars and you might be able to find cheaper hosts. You also get mail redirection so you can have [email protected] as your mail address or [email protected]. You get the idea.

I haven't shopped around for years and suggested speednames just as an example. I've never had any grief from them over the past three or four years of using them.

If you follow that speednames link and put your desired domain name in the box, it'll give prices. I think they do discounts for five and ten years.

IT manager

the only time he has ever mentioned anything about my surfing is when I went to ratemycameltoe.org, he looks at the logs and that stood out real quick. He just told me not to look at that shit at work. I've started visiting some "questionable" sites recently, I just know he'd have a shit attack upon seeing the links on the log.

That's also the problem with some of those stealth services, their address always sticks out and has the visiting sites address at the end, like

www.foolingtheITmanager.com/www.Iamlookingatvagina.com

There's no guarantee that having your own domain redirecting wouldn't still fall foul of blocking by work admin software, though. The data still flows directly from the site to your machine and will be visible as such. It's really just the address that you send out which is under your control.

For proper stealth from work you really need an anonymizer or a slave machine somewhere to act as a go-between which is a bit harder to set up.

assclown. I just spit my soup out onto my blouse.

Blut, would your method conceal the addy though, or just hide it from a casual review from the Admin?

I don't think he digs into it unless the logs show him something "suspicious"

Ever want to screw your boss by surfing the elitefitness.com Discussion Boards at work and not get caught? Want to really screw with him and the company Systems Administrator too? Now it's easy, because Discussion Boards members will be able to access the Elite Fitness Discussion Boards not only from boards.elitefitness.com, but also from the new stealth URL www.ExpertPcSupport.com.

If your boss checks your PC or your office's access logs, all he'll see is that you were getting help with your PC at www.expertpcsupport.com. But you were really surfing the Elite Fitness Discussion Boards using the expertpcsupport.com stealth web address.

The ExpertPCSupport.com home page looks like this:

It completely conceals what you type and thus your outgoing initial request. Subsequent traffic, though, will pick up its addresses from the web page so it depends on how he's logging which, in essence, means it's not secure.

The only way to be secure is to make a secure connection to another machine through ssl or ssh and then, effectively do the browsing on the other machine over the secure connection. That's obviously a lot messier to set up for yourself which brings us back to anonymisers.
