By DB press do you mean seated shoulder/overhead press with 100lb DB's per hand?

I doubt it. That's a shit load for a kid his size and age. I can't even do that much and I'm much bigger than he is.


To the poster, you should be able to get your delts up some even during season. What I have found for shoulders is that besides a shoulder press, lateral raises have been key to my shoulder development. Medium weight, high reps and sets. Delts can take a beating, but you have to remember that the deltoid muscles are actually really small, and trying to lift lots of weight with a small muscle doesn't work very well. I do drop sets with delts on the arm raises. 30lbs for 10 reps, 25 til max, 20 til max, 15 til max, 10 til max. I do this 4 times and then my last set is just 10 lb'ers til failur. I can usually crank out 30 or more. My side delts have exploded over the last 3 months doing this. I used to have almost no delts, and now I have pretty decent delts.

Heres some pics. I cant change my training routine because im in football but after that i want to focus on getting my traps, shoulers, lats and legs. Any suggestions? Thanks you guys

Well an obvious answer is to quit sucking dicks while your doing squats and dead lifts you need to be concentrating only on lifting you can have all the penis you want later.

I know i was looking at the bench squat and dead numbers and it didnt make sense, maybe he added the db weights together.
 
100lb dumbells in each hand, not added together. And its DB press, laying down like yourr benching except with dumbells in each hand. Ive been doin bench and tricep and chest exercises for the last 5 years, but ive only been doin deadlifts and squats for a couple months. ill post a video of me doing lol. Seated DB military press i can do 75 lbs for reps.

Anyway il definetly do that delt training! The only delts we ever do in football is DB military, but i can switch it up. And ddeadlifts should get my back good, anything for legs? Im looking for explosiveness, not just raw strength..

Wanna know something funny?

I can't even bench 280lbs once, but I rep 115 lb dumbbells for 12 reps max. Though I haven't treid to max bench press for like 6 months, I know I couldn't put up 280. Maybe I can, hmmmm, but I am not going to find out anytime soon. These tall lanky arms never could bench an impressive weight. even with 17" arms at 6'2" I can't press worth shit on flat BB bench

Damn, i swear genetics plays the most important role sometimes. You just cant explain the difference like that other than genetics. pretty crazy...

but i think i messed up on my max, i did 225 x 7 today, so i think thats like 270, 275 idk but not 280.

What were the responses in the other thread you made like this a little while back?

I say, deads, squats, presses (lying and seated), and rows.
 
I can bang out a few reps seated shoulder press with 100's but probably no more then 5 if im lucky. I got long ass arms as well which suck for pressing, best bench is only 270, i tried 300 and thought i was gonna be crushed! My bench is improving alot lately though, probably because im focusing on it alot more now.
 
oh im 5'10", 173 lbs. i want pure explosiveness, so how do i get that with squats, deadlifts and presses...lower weight higher reps and fast motion?
 
You want a weight you can handle with ease and try doing speed squats either regular or box squats, go down real slow then when you hit parallel fire up as fast as possible.

Ok cool thats probably only around 135, but ill try it. Should i be doing cleans too? I like those and they seem good for explosiveness...i say my receiver coach do one and i thoughti would n ever ever be able to get it up as fast and quick as he did.
