Just about to compete in my 1st natty comp. Have been lifting for a few years now and looking to plan for my next 'off season'. Will stick to my current program until the end of my current couple of comps but I have a question regarding starting weights for the 5x5, which I will be using in the off season.
Should I calculate my 1RM based on what my last lot of training was (comp preparation) or what I was lifting in my last 'off' season? The reason for the question is as I have depleted myself for contest prep I have gotten weaker in compound exercises like squats and deads. Should I calculate my 1RM based on where I was at the end of contest prep or how strong I was in my last off season?
