i am eating high fat, high protein and less then 30g cards per day. how long does it usually take eating very low carbs before u notice fat loss. also, should i carb up 1 day per week? i am wanting to lose 30lbs of fat within 3 months.

I went on a low carb diet and lost 27 pounds in 28 days a couple of years ago. I never ate more than 20g of carbs for the whole month and tried to get most of my calories from protein and good fats to spare muscle. When I had cravings Id eat fat b/c that made me feel full without eating too much. Usually a tablespoon of cream cheese(yuk!) would stop from wanting anthing more to eat. I stayed away from nuts cuz I would end up eating the whole canister. This was not an all u can eat diet, my calorie intake was roughly 1500 cal/day. Lots of water and no alcohol. I noticed an immediate water loss and everyday was like watching the incredible shrinking man.

what a great way to use muscle!!! the keto diet was meant for low days of cycling and some how everyone just got lazy and decided to no carb back up. Have a fun time being in ketosis and losing muscle. oh yeah while you are in ketosis you body holds on to fat storage. Low carb diet is for lazy people imo.

so what type of diet do you suggest jc21? i want boobies like yours ;)

Yes I would also like to know a good diet to help get down to 5%BF without loosing any muscle.

I am currently looking for a way to get my last two abs to show. I dont want to loose any muscle.

Gonna do tren for 6 weeks coming up in a week. Just tren maybe winnie for 4 weeks. But planning on just tren.

carb up every 5 days for 1-2 days and you will get better results than 30 days straight...less muscle loss as well

i was under the impression that ketones spare lbm. now i've been hearing that it burns lbm? kind of hard to believe one or the other when they both contradict themselves

who said i wasn't going to carb up? thats what the whole post was about. And I've always been told you burn fat while u are in ketosis rather then muscle.

low carb diets burn to much muscle in my experience and my opinion unless you are on juice, so i would reccomend about a 40/30/30 ration, just my two cents

It doesnt matter either way b/c of muscle memory- it comes right back, once you get to the bodyfat levels you want raise your calories and get the muscle back, but this time youre leaner.

bro dont do no carbs--thats to hard on the muscles--when i diet i do about 100grams of carbs a day--no carbs is too much--eat the carbs but eat the right kind---eat oatmeal for breakfast and whole grain breads--dont eat white bread or any of that crap

I have been on CKD diet along with winny/fina for 7 weeks, and am down 14 lbs AFTER carb up. I haven't lost any strength(actually a little stronger) I don't appear to have lost any muscle, although it is hard to tell when your muscles are flat from no carbs. I love this diet! It's so simple. I do a 36 hour carb up on Fri-Sat. Friday I pretty much eat anything I want(along with lots of high GI carbs), and Saturday I eat Low GI carbs along with lots of protein and low fat.

I am supposed to come "off" in a week , but may just continue for a few more along with the diet. I'm not quite where I wanna be for summer yet.

ckd will not spare muscle unless you're on the sauce.

keep in mind that even on gear, keto will only spare muscle. do not expect any muscle gains.

i am beginning to think that the bros who say that CKDs are catabolic have never tried a CKD and are just parroting some other diet "guru". the bros that have tried a CKD said that they look flat but have not really seen much, if any, muscle loss (as was stated by hardrock)

I agree and have good results with it because its fast and I get the results I want fast. Everyone is different and while some have great results some may not. I would recommend you try it and if you dont like the results, it doesnt matter, like I said muscle memory and youll right back where you were. Also I pm'd you about a different thread.

WTF would you want to get back where you were before? Its like taking 1 step forward and 1 step back. Wouldnt you want to grow consistantly?

A < 20gm carb CKD is for sedentary people. Bodybuilders should do low carbs, 40-80 gms daily. With 50%-75% of the carbs coming in the postworkout meal. You don't have to be in ketosis to burn fat, but ketosis IS where you start to burn muscle.

I get less than 5 g carb per meal x 7 per day, and an additional 30 grams maltodextrin/whey post workout. I can see how it could burn muscle if not "on", but I am, and I love the results so far.

Do you think I should be getting more carbs?

I agree with higher carbs, especially on juice. But should you still carb up? even at 40-80

Because youre always going to lose a little muscle when you harden up. Thats why you get huge and have extra muscle knowing that when you cut up that some muscle will be lost. You have to know this unless you supplement with gear. SO GET BIG and then shred it. Or you can slowly gain little by little and always look hard, but you'll never get huge that way.
