Started 5x5 with squat today....

Had a decent leg workout today after about 2 weeks of neglecting them. No more of that pussy shit tho.

I began with a warmup set of 135 x 20.

Then I did my 5x5 with 165. (I figured I would start light so I can constantly add poundages).

Obviously the squats werent too difficult but I used near perfect form, with my ass nearly touchin the ground.

I finished my workout with a 2 sets of leg press, 290 x 10, and 2 sets of leg extensions, 90 x 10.

Am I off to a decent start?
 
sounds good, but I would warm up differently. I squat over 400 for reps, but if I did 20 reps on 135lbs I would be tired. I prefer to do enough to get warm, but not enough to get tired, heres how I warm up
45 x 10 reps
135 x 8 reps
225 x 5
315 x 5
365 x 1-2
405 5x5

good stuff. I am actually following a different approach right now, two sets to failure, then add 10lbs for next week. My squat workout 3 days ago was 405lbs for 10, and 8 reps, next week is 415
 
Right now i am on a team program, football... lots of compund movements and i haven't done high reps for a while so i figure there is no way i can't grow...
 
Yeah I would drop the 135x20... ESPECIALLY if your working sets are 165.

Just keep us updated on the progress man.
