Anybody know how to get red wine stains out of carpet?

White wine will supposedly help if you've just spilt the wine, if you did it hours ago I don't think it'll work. You could try rubbing salt into the stain, leave it for a few minutes then rinse the area with water.

Failing that, carpet stain removal shampoos always seem to mention red wine, try one of them?

Nah, my daughter's old b.f. spilled it 2 months or so ago. They sopped most of it up, but there's some scattered drops.
I'll have to try the cleaner.

This stuff called Spot Shot is pretty good... but 2 months in... maybe a steam cleaner, the heat brings up stuff that nothing else will... but you gotta rent that or pay someone to come over and do it.
