They're not quite locked out - close, but not quite. I've never used equipment to squat. I don't even own a belt. So far, the only issues I've had have been with my lower back, but lately it's been fine as well.Illuminati said:Do you own any groove briefs? I would highly recommend them. they will give you a lot of support in your hips. I've got the Metal Viking's. Squatting used to beat my hips up a considerable amount. The briefs have helped some. Not to mention that they work almost in the same fashion as a squat suit (not to the same extent) and you will get a small carry over from them. And, they are good to deadlift in.

If/when I get around to competing, I'll be looking into equipment. I have been wondering though - isn't it miserable to wear the briefs from a comfort standpoint? It seems like they would squish the boys![]()
