Squat Issue

Hey guys. I am new here to the forum and I am hoping you guys can help me out with this issue I am having. I started lifting now again after a 6 month break from weights. I use to lift in the past but hardly did legs (i know, bad idea) and I want to train my legs hard to match my upper body. I am trying to get nice legs but I notice that after I squat or do calve raises that I get these lines on my trap and shoulder area. I have tried using the pads but they still emerge. I know that the lines fade away but I was wondering if this happens to anyone else and if they were able to stop it. Today I tried using a towel as well as the pad but I won't really know if it helped as I still have the lines from the leg workout before. I heard about the manta ray or what ever, but I read posts about it still leaving marks. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

i use the manta ray at my gym and i still get the marks. it doesnt bother me or anything. im guessing its just popped blood vessels from all the weight.

i use to get them too. after awhile they just started to show up less and less. and now i don't get them at all.

so if you can just bear it for now and see if they are still showing up in a few months or not

Thanks for the feedback.

Your right, that is what it is but I am worried that after a while it may become permanent and they do not go away...

they usually only last a couple of days. i like it, its funny when u go get a haircut and the person is freaking out about the marks lol..

How is that funny? lol They look almost like stretch marks to me.

Is the bar resting on the seams of your shirt? If so that can cause some pretty bad markings/superficial bruising. As you squat more the marks will appear less since you body will become used to the strain.
