Well its been alittle over 3 months so i messured my legs and i have gained alittle over a inch in them..So how is this rated gain wise in that amount of time? Am i geting good, bad or fair gains in that time period? This is to help me to see if i need to change up what i am doing to get maxium gains... Thanks guys... :)

Well, it would all depend on what level of trainee you are, your diet, your age, drug use, there are too many variables.

I have never been a fan of fixing something that isn't broken just for the sake of change .

What type of training are you doing now?

Funny, whats all that got to do with....if i gained a inch on legs in 90 days? How much leg size you gain in 90 days? Point being its either good gains or bad all i asked. Bet some people might wish they could gain a inch in that time period...If i posted i gained 6 inches then you would be asking me how....As far as changeing up, heres a wake up call on that...If you dont change up you wont keep growing muscle... Your opinion is nice but i asked for a answer not another question.... Wonder sometimes if theres any real people on here................ must have posted in the wrong area...

its entirely individual....

there is no formula.

biggt was absolutely right.

if an inch wasnt enough...where would you start first to "change things up?"

training right?

wrong....or is it?

food
rest
cycle
genetic potential
supplementation
training
-exercise selection
-intensity
-form
-programming

pick one.

do you know where to start with such a basic and broad question as:

"is one inch over 90 days enough?"

It is easier to gain size for a novice than an advanced. It is easier to gain size with massive food intake than caloric restriction. It is easier to gain size with lots of drugs than without. It is easier to gain a fixed increment of measurment on a large frame than a small one.

So if you tell me you are 6'8", recently out of a concentration camp, never trained before, and have been eating 8K calories a day - I'd say putting an inch on your leg in 90 days isn't impressive at all. If you weighed 220 with reasonable bodyfat, have been lifting for years and have a 600 squat, were all natural, put an inch on your leg in 90 days and still weigh right about 220 - I'd say that's damn impressive.

You came to the right place you just don't understand everything that factors into the answer you are looking for. 1" is neither good nor bad (i.e. it's not large enough to overwhelm all possible factors that contribute), it's the context in which the gain came in. Regardless, if you are happy that is all that matters and obviously you are likely moving in the right direction.

Are you kidding me? Before you react like a jerk, why don't you try reading BiggT's post a little more carefully. He addressed your points pretty clearly.

BiggT let you know that it depends. See Madcow2's post. Heavy drug user, just stopped running marathons? Probably should gain more than an inch in 3 months. Get it?

Which is why BiggT told you that he's "never been a fan of fixing something that isn't broken just for the sake of change."

Get it? If you're gaining (so far, 1 inch in 3 mo's), keep at it. It's working.

His post is clearly responsive. No need to react poorly.

your reaction to biggt's response merited more of a negative response than you received. that being said, you are receiving advice from some of the most knowledgeable people on this board, don't be an ass. and based upon some of your other posts (regarding muscle soreness) you should shut your mouth and soak up the knowledge.

Why post a question at all if you already know the answer you want?

Stupidity like this should HURT.

I wasn't going to even bother replying since everybody pretty much said all I would have in a response, but since it was my post that ruffled your feathers, I feel I should post a response.

Again, more info. is needed. Like was stated in other posts an inch on a 19 year old beginner is not the same as an inch on a 38 year old advanced lifter. Your level of conditioning 3 months ago relative to the best shape you've been in during your life is also a very important factor. Your bodyfat 3 months ago and your bodyfat now is important.

I would like to answer anybody's question the best I can, on this forum most of the guys are 'real' and we're honest with each other, not many egos or attitudes, and not many "yes men". Nobody is gonna say "yeah, bro, keep killing it" or on the flip side nobody will say "no, that sucks, change your program" with the information you provided. Anybody who does this either doesn't know what they're talking about or just wants to up their post total.

It sounds like all you wanted was encouragement, which is fine, and you'll get plenty of it here, stick around, answer questions, ask questions, post some background, start a journal, post a workout, but don't word your post as an idiotic question that there is no answer to.
